Making the former..

First up we were shown the templates which we would be using for the guitar formers, tops and backs. This is the first step but is no less important than anything else. Precision is the key here. We had to cut out the side former from MDF but it was imperative that both sides were the same shape. We then routed out both sides to make sure. After this we each had to cut out rectangular pieces of wood so as to link the two outer former sides. I cut out 16 pieces and found it to work out. There was a small bit of sanding that had to be performed so as to make each block level. Here are some pictures of the procedure.
