Though my sides were slightly warped from the bending they would be moulded into shape by the inner former later on so it wasn't a major worry to me.
Joining the sides together was an easy job. In this picture we can see Tony's guiding hands holding the glued neck block just before I apply the g-clamps. Though the edges of the sides did not match up perfectly, it was alright as a small piece of binding will be inserted there on the guitars anyway. Regarding the top and back of the sides, I spent a while with the block plane trying to get these level.
