My first task was to plane down the kerfing on the sides. The small block plane was very aggressive with the kerfing and at one stage I thought it was going to begin raining wood chips at one stage!
I noticed the problem I was having and enquired Gary as to what to do in the situation. He advised me to use very rough sandpaper and the lip would be gone in no time. Indeed I saved a lot of time (and kerfing) with this process!
