It was time for the internal former to be taken out as the guitar would now have completed its shaping process. The cardboard was very thick, so I took out a few center fragments before working the edges. At times, I thought the sides would crush in my hands but they held steady.
Next was the chiseling of the kerfing, allowing the braces to slide under it in such a fashion as so there is minimal damage to the guitar. A normal 45 degree angle worked with a chisel into select points on the kerfing does the trick.
In the next class I will be applying the back plate to the sides and begin work on my front braces.
